Chairman Mike Long appeared on Cats Roundtable over the weekend.  Chairman Long discusses the need to implement Term Limits and other timely topics.  You can listen to the podcast here.

Michael Goodwin has an interesting column dealing with Preet Bharara's continuing "stayed tuned" comments.

A school principal in Brooklyn has banned Thanksgiving, Santa and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Santa is not a religious symbol, Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday and really have no reason what so ever to be banned, but by banning the Pledge of Allegiance, Eujin Jaela Kim, the principal, has really crossed the line on being politically correct.  Enough is enough! This is America and if you don't want to Pledge Allegiance to the country that has taken you in, is giving you an education, and keeping you safe, why did you come here?  The Supreme Court ruled in 1943 (West Virginia State Board of Education vs Barnette)  that a student may not be compelled to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, nor can they be punished for not saying it, but to have a principal of a school prohibit saying the Pledge of Allegiance sends a message to these young minds that America is no longer a Republic that provides "Liberty and Justice for all."  Shameful.

Harry Wilson, our NYS comptroller candidate in 2010, and a featured speaker at this year's CPPAC (January 31, February 1 in Albany) has an Op-Ed in today's NY Post that has his take on how to stem the corruption in the NYS Legislature.

Gov. Cuomo and Senator Schumer along with President Obama want to make certain that anyone on the "No-Fly List" be banned from buying guns.  Part of the problem is that some on the "No-Fly List" do not belong on the list; the other problem is that five federal agencies ignored blatant red flags in the application of Tashfeen Malik and still let her come into America.  Five agencies!  Yet, Cuomo, Schumer and Obama, focus on gun control and "No-Fly List."  Gentlemen, get your priorities straight and get your house in order before you attempt to curtail the 2nd Amendment more than you already have.

German chancellor, Angela Merkel, is changing her tune when comes to refugees.

Don’t suppress the NYPD’s report on Islamic radicalization.

Department of Homeland Security is unable to answer key questions at Congressional Hearing.  (And you wonder how five agencies could miss red flags?)

Sen. Marco Rubio raises concerns about the IRS targeting churches.

Paul Driessen and Dr. Roger Bezdek have a great article on the Paris climate "treaty" and the voluntary mush it became, all be it, you would never know it is mush by the coverage it received.

It really pays to be informed. News and information are important to people. - Dr. Thomas Devlin
