Ptl. Phillip Cardillo, murdered 43 years ago, New York City is finally giving him  recognition for making the ultimate sacrifice.  The day he died, Phillip Cardillo was doing what cops do every day: putting his life at risk to protect fellow officers and the public.  We salute the NYPD and all they do to keep us safe and pray that this is the last time we have to honor an officer slain for doing his job.
